I am a donor, how do I complete the AML Proof of Funds check?

Solicitors and law firms must understand where the money comes from when dealing with large amounts of money to prevent money laundering and fraud.

To start the check, click the link sent from your agency or solicitor. This will bring you directly to the app store or play store (if you have not installed the app already).

Once this is done, you will be guided to complete the check for the property you are looking to buy.

Where do I find the link?

First step, Complete the ID section

Second step, Complete the email section

Third step, Complete the address details

Fourth step, Connecting your digital bank statement

I don't have open banking

Step 1: tap on confirm my funds

Step 2: Select bank account

Step 3:

  1. Search your bank by name

  2. Connect to digital banking

  3. If successful, you should see the message on the next screen

  4. You should go back to the app and continue with the check to add more funds or to send it

You can now go back to the main screen and keep adding the rest of the funds until matching the purchase price. This will allow you to move to the next step

Tap on Add more funds

Select the other fund type

Enter the amount and tap on add

Fifth step, upload documents

Common questions:

What happens if you can't link to your digital banking?

If you can't connect to open banking, you can also add the funding details to 'other' and upload bank statements in the next section.
