This guide will walk you through the process of receiving an authentication text code on a non-smartphone device and then using it to authenticate on a smartphone device.
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
A non-smartphone device capable of receiving text messages
A smartphone device with the Checkboard app
If you have received an invite text on your non-smartphone and need to complete a check using the Checkboard App, follow these steps:
Using your smartphone, go to the App Store or Google Play Store and download the Checkboard App.
Open the Checkboard App on your smartphone and enter the number of the non-smartphone into the app.
Once you have entered the non-smartphone number, a code will be sent to the non-smartphone via text message.
Retrieve the code from the non-smartphone and input it into the Checkboard App on your smartphone.
Once you have entered the code, you will be able to complete your check!
Troubleshooting: If you encounter any issues during the authentication process, consider these tips:
Double-check the phone number you provided when requesting the code. If it's incorrect, you won't receive the text message.
If you don't receive the text message, request a new code. Some carriers or network conditions may cause delays in message delivery.
Be aware of the time limits for using the code. If your code has expired, you'll need to request a new one.
