Some flows may require you to share your financial information digitally.
This helps law firms and solicitors confirm where your funds come from — a key part of preventing money laundering and fraud.

If your flow requires digital banking, make sure you complete the Banking section first before continuing with your Proof of Funds.

Why You’re Asked for Financial Information

We know sharing financial details can feel personal.

If you’d like to understand why this step is needed, please read:
👉 Why do you require my financial information?

Connecting Your Digital Banking

  1. Find your bank from the list provided.

  2. Read and agree to the consent page if you want to proceed.
You’ll be redirected to your bank’s app to complete the connection.

  3. Wait for confirmation.
If it takes too long, reopen Checkboard — your statements should appear once linked.

Savings Accounts Not Showing?

Some banks only share data for current accounts or credit cards, not savings.
If your savings don’t appear:

  1. Go to the “Proof of Funds list.”

  2. Select “Other.”

  3. Enter your savings amount manually.

  4. Upload a bank statement as evidence.

If You’re Forced to Connect to Online Banking

If connecting to digital banking is mandatory but you:

  • don’t have online banking,

  • prefer not to connect, or

  • can’t find your bank in the list,

Contact the requester of your flow.

They decide which sections are required — not Checkboard.
Ask them for alternative options to complete your onboarding.

✅ Quick Summary

  • Some banks don’t show savings — add them manually.

  • You can upload statements for non-digital funds.

  • Mandatory banking requests come from the requester, not Checkboard.
